Keira - not to be confused with Kayla

Josh's family has a dog named Keira. She is cute and very playful. The problem here is that our names are so similar, they get interchanged all the time. One time I went into the kitchen to get something and Josh asked his brother Alex where "Kayla" went. Alex's answer..."Oh, I put her outside" thinking he had said Keira. I don't really mind. When I am at work and answer the phone I get called Keira all the time.

Josh's Graduation Present

Josh finally got his graduation present - a 12 gauge Benelli shotgun. He has been waiting for his concealed firearms permit to come in the mail (so we wouldn't have to pay the $7.50 background check fee) and it finally came on Thursday. He picked up the gun on his lunch break yesterday and was very excited he finally had it.

Josh loves that I got a digital camera for Christmas and that I have a blog - all the more reason for me to take pictures. He loves having his picture taken. (Thank goodness he doesn't have any shotgun shells for this gun yet...)

July 4, 2007

Josh and I went shooting with his dad and little brother for the 4th. It was a lot of fun, and luckily it wasn't too hot.

Josh shot this golf ball - you can see where the bullet stopped inside.

Russian Chicken

This may sound like a weird combination of ingredients, but it is really good and easy to make.

4 chicken breasts
1 (10 oz) bottle Russian salad dressing
1 (10 oz) jar apricot preserves
1½ packages dry onion soup mix

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place chicken pieces in a 4 quart casserole dish. Mix the dressing, preserves, and soup mix together and pour over the chicken. Cover dish and bake for 1 hour in preheated oven.

This can also be made in the crock pot. Place the chicken in the crock pot. Mix the dressing, preserves, and soup mix together and pour over the chicken. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.

Justin, Tina and Jack

Josh's brother Justin, his wife Tina and their son Jack live in Ohio, where Justin is currently working for GE. We miss them a lot and wish we could see them more often. Here are a couple pictures they sent to us.
