New Couches

We decided that with the purchase of our home, we should get new couches too. The couches are actually dark olive green, but with the green paint they look more brown.
The best part is that they recline!

Working On Our Home

As most of you know, Josh and I have moved into our new home! It is 2000 square feet, with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. It was built in 1996, so it needed some work. There was carpet and tile in the garage because it was the model home and they used the garage as an office. One of the first things Josh did was tear up the tile and carpet. We have also done some painting and are almost done unpacking. We will be posting more pictures soon.

Whipped Strawberry Sensation

Here is another recipe I got from my dad - it is so good! It is a perfect dessert for summer!

Ingredients:

4 cups fresh strawberries, divided
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 (8 oz) tub cool whip, thawed and divided
8 oreo cookies, finely chopped
1 tablespoon butter, melted

Line a 9x5-inch loaf pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides of pan. Mash 2 cups of the strawberries in large bowl. Add condensed milk, juice and 2 cups of the whipped topping; mix well. Pour into prepared pan. Mix chopped cookies and butter. Spoon over whipped topping mixture. Cover with ends of foil and gently press cookie mixture into whipped topping mixture. Freeze 6 hours or until firm. Invert dessert onto serving plate when ready to serve; remove pan and foil. Spread remaining whipped topping onto top and sides of dessert. Slice remaining 2 cups strawberries; arrange over dessert. Store leftovers in freezer.

Harley Trip

Every summer Josh and his dad rent motorcycles and go on a road trip. This summer I was invited to come along. After picking up the bikes we stopped by Josh's parents' house to say goodbye to Tina and Jack since they would be flying back to California a few hours later. Jack loved Josh's motorcycle! He kept honking the horn and cried when he had to give me my helmet! We picked up the bikes Wednesday afternoon and rode down to Mesquite. On Thursday we rode out to the north rim of the Grand Canyon, then back to Mesquite. On Friday we drove through Zion's National Park and back to Salt Lake. Our trip was short, but we had a lot of fun.
