Picture Frames

We finally got around to framing and hanging up some of Skyler's 4 month pictures. I know it's been a couple months since we got them taken, but it took us a while to get them up on the wall because Josh actually made the frames himself. He hasn't had a whole lot of time to work on them since he has been working part-time at a law firm and has been studying for the bar. He came up with the design for the frames himself and made everything from scratch. It was his first time make frames, and I think they look amazing!

6 Months

Rice Cereal

Skyler started eating rice cereal last week. Every time I feed her, after the first bite she gives me this look...
like she's not quite sure what she thinks about it. Then, she gets fussy because I can't seem to feed her fast enough. She really likes rice cereal!
Everyone has been telling me for months once she started eating rice cereal she would start sleeping better at night. She still wakes up about every 3-4 hours at night to eat. Hopefully she will start sleeping better soon!

Angry Birds and Hungry Hippos

Two of Skyler's favorite toys are her angry bird and hungry hippo, as Josh calls them. One of my coworkers gave Skyler this bird that hangs from her car seat.

It reminds Josh of the game Angry Birds, which you can play on your iPod, iPhone, android phone, or online here.
Her other favorite toy is this hippo rattle I got for her at Walmart.
Josh likes to call it her hungry hippo, after the game Hungry Hungry Hippos.

Josh loves giving people/things nicknames.

California Trip

This past weekend we took a trip to California. While there Skyler was rocked to sleep by Uncle Preston

met her Aunt Michelle, who got an owl beanie of her own for her birthday

met her Aunt Lindsay

made faces with Grandpa Mecham

hung out with Grandma Mecham

went out to dinner

hung out at The Block (it's an outdoor mall in Orange)

and learned how to drink from a cup.

We ended our trip by celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary

and Mother's Day.

We had a ton of fun and can't wait to go back!
